Joshua Tree Data Review

The Joshua Tree Dataset contains over 100gb of raw DSLR photography.  Focus on capture was for CG backgrounds for 3D matte paintings along with some quick scans of foreground objects including trees, bushes and rocks.  There is enough photography to generate a 360 scan of most of the subjects in this dataset.  Context shots are shot with a wide lens and can provide you information how that element fits into the scene.  In addition, there are some panoramas for background elements which does not include nadir or zenith photography.

There are plans to return to Joshua Tree National Park for additional capture and a relevant course in the future.
